I'm not quite sure if everyone goes through this ... but I do - so I figure, what the hell I might as well share my weirdness with anyone that actually wastes 10 minutes of their day to read this silly thing.
Okay - Have you ever had those moments when you realize you're not totally 'all there.' Alright, you're probably thinking - WTF? It's all about the little things, and this is what I'm talking about ....
I'm at work ... diligently typing away and I realize I need some gum - ASAP. I grab my purse reach in pull out a piece of gum ... so excited about it that I shove the wrapper straight into my mouth without any hesitation ... and throw the piece of gum back into my purse. Possibly a second goes by - I now have a gum wrapper in my mouth and no gum. AWESOME. WTF?
Now this is what concerns me. I was never a huge stoner in school ... never spent countless hours doing shit in my teens that would eventually kill a large portion of my brain cells. HOWEVER - I am now 24 and shoving wrappers in my mouth. Oh right, but that's not even the beginning ...
Last night after work I get home turn on the TV ... put on my gym clothes and get all ready to leave the house. I grab all my stuff, grab my house keys, and I'm set. I walk through my living room / bedroom ( that's right - I live in a fucking shoe box ) ... And I put my thumb on my car alarm thing ... point it at the tv ... press it ... and then realize that I was just trying to turn off my tv with my car alarm.
Now I find something very wrong here. Are those little brain cells not working like they're supposed to?! Because shit - if I'm doing this sort of shit at 24 ... what will I be like at 84 ?! Just decide one day that I need to throw my cat in the freezer or take a bath in the sink? This is ludicrous!!!
I suppose we chalk this up for another one of those 'getting older' things ... and say ... awwww shit - whatev.
So to all you gum wrapper eating people out there ... don't you worry ... there is someone out there just as ditzy as you!
